PLATELET RICH PLASMA INJECTION
One of the most exciting and effective treatments for a wide range of musculoskeletal issues – from acute injuries to aging joints.
HYALURONIC ACID INJECTIONS
Using ultrasound guidance, hyaluronic acid is injected into the joint to help replace the natural lubricant that diminishes over time. Patients who receive this treatment typically require 3 – 4 injections per joint, repeated annually or biannually. Please note that this does not include the cost of medication.
Treatment Cost Examples:
Susan experiences a chronic, painful, burning sensation along her back and shoulders. This pain is caused by myofascial pain syndrome, or trigger points – the tightening and thickening of muscle fibers. To release these muscle fibers, they are injected with lidocaine and a myofascial release therapy is used. Susan required three series of trigger point injections, two additional Myofascial Release Therapy appointments and a Rehab + Retrain session. Bundled together, this treatment plan would cost a total of $1,200.
HYALURONIC ACID INJECTIONS
Carl experiences recurring pain in his knees as the result of osteoarthritis – the grinding together of bones in the joint. To replace the thinning or missing natural lubricant of the joint, Hyaluronic acid is injected into the joint itself, using ultrasound guidance. Carl chooses a series of three injections per knee over the course of three weeks. Bundled together the cost of this treatment plan would cost $1,200 plus the cost of medication. Hyaluronic acid currently costs between $100 to $500 per syringe depending on the pharmacy used – our clinic worked with Carl to ensure he got the best price possible.
PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP) INJECTIONS
Jonathan was experiencing chronic pain as the result of a traumatic injury to his shoulder. Wanting to avoid surgery, Jonathan chose to receive PRP injections to his shoulder using ultrasound guidance. Due to the severity of his injury, Jonathan required two treatments over the course of several months for a bundled cost of $3,600.
